North Natomas Community Center & Aquatics Complex

Natomas is now home to a new water park and community center that is open to the public for recreational swimming. The North Natomas Community Center and Aquatics Complex is an unparalleled facility in the Sacramento region, boasting a new community center, aquatics complex, and high school aquatics program all under one roof. The Olympic size pool is the only one of its kind in Sacramento, making the complex a truly unique destination.

The Natomas Aquatic Center is a great addition to the Sacramento community offering several amenities such as a community center, water slides, a kids' splash zone, and several pools. This is the first regional aquatics facility of its kind that is designed to serve the entire city 10 months out of the year. The Community Center is the perfect event space for any occasion. Featuring a main ballroom and warming kitchen, it is ideal for meetings, receptions, banquets, celebrations, and other social gatherings.

The $40 million complex, which is part of the 220-acre North Natomas Regional Park, features a community center with a capacity for 350 people, a 50-meter competition pool, a 25-yard recreational pool, splash down pads, locker rooms, on-site parking, and support facilities. Following are the key highlights of the center: -

• A zero-depth entry splash pool with a play structure for the little ones

• Two spiral waterslides for the thrill-seekers

• A 25-yard recreational pool for swimming laps or cooling off

• A 50-meter competition pool with two low springboard diving boards for the competitive types

• Shaded picnic tables for enjoying a meal or snack in the shade

• Cabanas for a little privacy

• Gym-style restrooms with showers and lockers (locks not included)

• Family changing rooms for your convenience

• Grass areas for lounging or playing games

• Plenty of parking in our parking lot

The Natomas area of Sacramento is a booming community with approximately 55,000 residents. It has experienced rapid population growth over the last 10 years and is now home to many businesses and families. This project is an asset to the Natomas community and the greater Sacramento region, as it will provide much-needed jobs and services to residents. It will also be a great boost to the local economy and will help bring even more people and businesses to the area.

If you're looking for a fun place to take a selfie, look no further than the Big Flip Flop sculpture at the center. It's a great spot for pictures and there's also plenty of seating nearby if you need a break. The picnic tables and cabanas are perfect for when you want to relax in the shade with a good book or some snacks.

The aquatic center will not only offer swimming lessons and host large swim meets but will also serve as a hub for community events. This will be especially beneficial for the Inderkum High School water polo team who will be able to use the aquatic center for practices and competitions, instead of having to travel all the way to Natomas High.

The design for the community center is unique in that it ties in the aquatics program by connecting the indoor area with the outdoors, giving swimmers a better view, and making it feel as though they're swimming in a luxurious backyard instead. This is done by careful landscaping and design of the property.

The project was presented to the City Council in May 2017, and it was well-received. This led to the approval of funding to start on implementation and construction of the facility. The facility is located at 2601, New Market Drive in Sacramento.
